GEARING UP FOR THE SUPER BOWL The Bud Light Hotel

So I was watching the Australian Open on ESPN and kept seeing these ads for some contest they were promoting with Bud Light. Of course, it was for something called the Bud Light Hotel in Miami and involved celebs, stars, night life and South Beach and the Super Bowl/All-Star Game week ( which btw, I think is a great idea. Too bad for Hawaii though). I was immediately intrigued and investigated more. Seems the good folks over at Budweiser have come up with a quality contest that includes a comprehensive schedule of events, VIP passes, exclusive concerts and parties and of course tickets tot he games. We aren't sure if they actually rented out a facility on Ocean Drive ( we saw more than a few vacant buildings there last spring) or are collaborating with one of the finer establishments, but it does seem like a worthwhile 6 minutes to enter the sweepstakes.

A MOVIE WE LOOK FORWARD TO Legion - opening 1/22/2010

We certainly have hyped this movie on our website and look forward to seeing it on the silver screen tomorrow...well I've actually seen it already, but keeping in tradition with our goal to give movies a chance, we won't be doing any reviews for a week to give people a chance to make up their own minds first, as well as having the movie earn its own merit for that first week.

For those of you haven't heard of the movie, here is a quick synopsis.

This supernatural thriller concerns a group of strangers in an out-of-the-way eatery who become the first line of defense when God, believing the human race is no longer worthy of Him, decides to end their existence. This motley crew's only spiritual ally is the archangel Michael, played by Paul Bettany. Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Charles S. Dutton, and Lucas Black co-star.
