The renowned architectural and interior design firm DAS transformed the two-story, 8,000-square foot space which formerly housed Little Pete’s. DAS, known for their work in creating such exciting restaurants as Le Bec Fin, Rae and Morimoto, aimed to create an environment that would be attractive to a sophisticated and discerning clientele. Plush oversized banquettes (also known as pearls), mirrored pendant light fixtures, modern finishes, color changing LED lighting theatrics and a richness of fabrics and textures create a sexy and chic environment. The space was designed to allow the flexibility to accommodate diners, lounge patrons for bottle service, VIPs needing privacy, casual visitors at three bars and private events simultaneously.

Two DJ booths and two separate sound systems allow for quiet dining downstairs with an energetic lounge scene upstairs. David Ashen, of New York’s D-Ash Design, known for his work on Capitale, XL, Spider Club and Avalon, collaborated with DAS on the project.

Upstairs, a glass enclosed VIP area ensure utmost service for lounge patrons. A rotating series of the best of local and nationally known DJ’s will help to ensure Pearl patrons experience remain at the cutting edge of Philadelphia’s nightlife.

SMELL LIKE A CAR...SORT OF HUMMER H2 by HUMMER

It seems everyone is getting in on the fragrance act lately. From shoe companies, to watches and of course cars. Hummer came out with a fragrance in 2005 aptly named Hummer by Hummer. The H2 fragrance line represents the next installment of the series.

Now for the blurb: H2 Cologne by Hummer, Hummer cologne is a masculine, warm fragrance for men. This manly scent is an invigorating blend of foliage, thyme, cardamom and peppercorns. The notes blend into accords of leather, amber, patchouli and sandalwood. Finishing off with tonka bean. Fresh, invigorating and exciting.

You won't find much information about the cologne on any of the Hummer sites, but a simple Google search will give you plenty of options to shop the fragrance, or of course you can visit your local mall and get this highly rated fragrance.
