THE VENERABLE CITY PAD  Apartment 24, San Francisco

440 Broadway Street, SanFrancisco CA 94133 - (415) 989-3434

http://www.apartment24sf.com/

Apartment 24 boasts two exclusive VIP rooms with private booths and bottle service, a cityscape image of San Francisco and a catwalk for girls to strut their stuff overlooking the expanded dance floor.

The name of the club comes from the design space which looks like a retro-chic San Francisco apartment and 24 carat gold to represent the black and gold swanky color scheme. Designer Jacek Ostoya created the interior inspired by a retro-chic rock star's apartment decor. Think of classic age rock star David Bowie's over the top apartment in the 1960s. With mood lighting over the zebra wood bar, wild metallic wallpaper and a back bar view of the San Francisco skyline that changes lighting from dawn to dusk, Apartment 24 is quickly becoming a popular city spot for those in-the-know ( or claiming to be).

With its intimate surroundings and preeminent DJ line-up, Apartment 24 has served notice to nightlife goers eager to partake in San Francisco's latest hotspot.

Hours of operation: Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 9 PM - 2 AM.

THE SPIRIT OF THAILAND

Mekhong comes to the US

courtesy of Rick Dobbs- Martinigroove.com

Now you're probably trying to forget your last visit to Thailand mostly due to the fact that you're not really sure where that 300,000 Baht went once you started drinking those Sabai Sabai's.

Thailand has come to you in order to dredge up those memories of coked up Russian Roulette in noisy bars and rain that lasts for 6 months in the form of Mekhong, the Spirit of Thailand. Mekhong is a blended and distilled drink made from sugar cane and rice with some Thai herbs thrown in to the mix. The idea is that the drink compliments Thai food and helps balance the spiciness. The spirit is made with a bit of the spiritualism that envelops Thailand in mind. It's distilled and fermented and then goes in to several traditional and symbolic stages related to the five natural elements: earth, water, air/wind, fire and aether (the mythical upper air that encompasses everything). http://www.thespiritofthailand.com
